Koret Scholarship

Koret Slam Event

The Koret Research Scholarship is $2,000 award, disbursed through the Financial Aid Scholarship Office, that is funded by a generous grant from the Koret Foundation. Each year up to 50 students recieve the award for a variety of research projects and experiences from every division across campus.

The grant also supports the Koret Slam - a symposium event where Koret scholars present their work to the public, and the College Scholars Program - the first-year honors program that includes students from all 10 colleges across campus. Koret scholars are also recognized by name in the UC Santa Cruz commencement program at the end of each spring quarter.

UC Santa Cruz has a commitment to undergraduate education and student success. Undergraduate participation in research plays a significant role in the academic achievement and retention of students. The Koret Scholarship is just one example of the outstanding research opportunities available to UCSC students.
